From self-driving cars to interactive museum exhibits, Invention is everywhere! In this screen-free creative STEM after school offering, students will learn the foundational skills needed to thrive in engineering, scientific, and creative fields. In this hands-on makerspace experience, we use a combination of LittleBits, electronic building blocks designed for early STEM education, and DIY arts & crafts materials to study and practice the invention cycle of ideate, prototype, test, repeat. Through lessons in electricity, circuitry, and computer logic and hands-on activities emphasizing teamwork, collaboration, and long-term planning, students will bring their ambitious and unconventional ideas into reality!
